Jaya Koilpillai Bohlmann, MA, MSMOB, ACC, APR

Olney, Maryland, United States

A visionary leader in nonprofits, associations and corporations, Jaya founded R.O.S.E.S., Inc. in 2020 with a goal to put her family's mental health experiences to use for the benefit of those suffering from effects of the global pandemic and illnesses affecting mental health such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Diseases.  Jaya's academic training is in journalism, management, organization behavior and marketing.  She runs a workplace engagement and communication consulting firm, Designing Communication, and teaches at the University of Maryland's renowned communication program.. She serves on several nonprofit Boards, including PRSA's National Capital Chapter.

Gladys T. Richards

Toronto, Ontario, Canada

 

Gladys brings to ROSES 30 years of public sector and human resources experience, and passion for contributing to social and health causes.  Now retired, Gladys served in human resources leadership roles for the City of Toronto (Ontario, Canada), managing large teams for which she led conflict resolution and problem-solving.  Gladys provided a range of services with city-wide impact, including public health, long-term care, social services and shelters.  Gladys holds a B.S. in biology from the University of Toronto, and a human resources certificate from Ryerson University.  In other volunteer roles, Gladys is president of Peel Vacant Land Condominium Corporation 725, managing daily execution of business operations and other leadership tasks.

Adriana V. Koilpillai

Olney, Maryland, United States

Adriana is a Public Health Science and French major undergraduate student at the University of Maryland, with a goal to practice international medicine.   A co-founder of ROSES, she is committed to the issues of mental health facing the world’s population, having experienced them in her own family on a very personal level. Adriana has been involved with charities her entire life, having traveled often to India in service of her family's medical and public health organization in Hosur, Tamil Nadu and in campus organizations including Stand Up to Cancer, a national organization dedicated to awareness and fundraising for the disease; Executive Editor for the nonprofit, Medical Awareness for Youth; and Co-Instructor for Project Change’s Student Leadership Institute.

Bill Furmanski

Washington, D.C., United States

Bill has worked for nonprofit organizations his entire career, leading communications and marketing initiatives at associations and foundations to help families manage their money, keep teens from starting to smoke, help adults quit smoking, and protect workers' rights. 

 Bill is currently the Senior Director for Branding & Communications at Blue Meridian Partners, an innovative, results-oriented philanthropy dedicated to transforming the life trajectories of young people and families living in poverty.  He is a New Jersey native and the first in his family to graduate from college, earning a communications degree from Seton Hall University. Bill currently serves on the university's alumni board of directors.

Tonya Brown Richardson, MBA

 Laurel, Maryland, United States

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Tonya is an experienced marketing and business management professional with over 20 years of experience in the non-profit, business and educational arenas. She holds a B.S. in Radio & Television Journalism and an MBA, marketing emphasis. Currently, Tonya works in Marketing and Communications for a non-profit that focuses on supporting scientific researchers in the biomedical and biological sciences field.  In her spare time, she is the owner of Smith-Muse Consulting company, helping small businesses with their business management and marketing goals in order to gain more visibility in their respective industries. Tonya believes that everyone has a responsibility to take care of their community and volunteers working with organizations focused on improving the lives of others.

Vice President, Counseling Program

Peter Reznik, PhD, LCSW

Forest Hills, New York, United States

Dr. Peter Reznik has over 40 years of experience helping others attain physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well being, with total awareness and respect their individual life journey.  Dr. Reznik is a recognized specialist in the fields of mind/body integrative therapy, behavior modification, mental imagery, dream work, clinical hypnosis, and morphology. He holds Master’s degrees in linguistics and social work and a Doctorate in health and human services.

Born in Ukraine, Dr. Reznik he has practiced psychotherapy, conducted wellness seminars, and helped over 35,000 patients in the former USSR, Israel, France and the United States. Dr. Peter Reznik is a faculty member of the American Institute of Mental Imagery, as well as a former staff member of the Schachter Center for Complementary Medicine, former director of the Petrie Institute of Hypnosis, and former consultant to the American Health Foundation.

Duru Ahanotu, PhD

Union City, California, United States

Dr. Duru Ahanotu is a graduate of Stanford University with nearly 30 years of experience leading and developing Analytics teams, transforming data analytics into business insights, executing pricing strategies through price optimization, and implementing, developing, and selling enterprise software. Dr. Ahanotu has a passion for small organizations in need of big ideas. As the sole proprietor of Ahan Analytics, he builds sustainable, data-driven approaches for improving organizational performance. Dr. Ahanotu volunteers for a broad array of civic and educational activities and organizations, including the Decision Education Foundation (helping young people make quality decisions); and the District African American Advisory as an advocate for Black students and parents in the school district.

 
While working with Yahoo, Dr. Ahanotu won corporate grants for educational and community charities. He is also very experienced in leading events and programming for Black employee resource groups and served as the lead for the Sunnyvale, CA branch of Black Organizers Leaders and Doers (BOLD) at Yahoo. He lives in the Silicon Valley area in Northern California.
